QUICK NEWS!

Special instructions for ordering recordings.

Special note to those ordering our recordings:
We want to thank those who have and are ordering our recordings through our web site. . We want to send them, but for some reason the order form that you used on our web site is mixing up the letters in such a way that we cannot figure out your name and address. I'm so sorry. However, if you will place the order again with your selection through the following e-mail address - geomelton7661@att.net including your name and address, we can then send you your order. I will be able to read the information that way. That way your message will come directly to us, not through the web site. We are working on getting the problem fixed, but till then, we can do it this way. Also, if you like, you can call your order in by calling 1-800-397-8552. It's a toll free number. I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks again! We pray God's best to you. And we love serving "Him" with "You!"

A real blessing!

We don't normally post these messages, but I have time today and am over joyed to know our ministery is making a difference! Thank you Buddy Sizemore! George Melton

City: Lincoln

State_Province: Nebraska

Church_Ministry: Henderson Christian Music Festival

Message: Hello George,
Just wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed you and your wife and son singing in Henderson , Nebraska. I've lived here in Lincoln, NE for 8 years but I am originally from Alabama and Mississippi. I had purchased one of your CD's at the Henderson Festival and your wife and I walked over to you where I shook your hand.

I had told your wife that as a boy I had grown up without a father's love. Our father deserted us when I was about 6 years old. I don't have many memories of him from childhood.
I can remember crying wondering as a boy , why didn't my father love me?

When it cam time to sign up for Little Leauge Baseball they asked my father to sign a paper allowing me to play. I was so ashamed that I didn't know where he even was.

My fathers family were from Mississippi and my mama's folks were form Alabama where I was born. At age 25 I moved to get a job in the city my father lived in. My mama had finally divorced hin a year after he left us all. I tried my best to be a friend to my father. He had remarried and his wife was very possessive of him . Even when I;d go to visit him, and believe me it took all the fortitud I had to go to see him, he would never initiate conversation. It was so difficult to have feelings for him. For many many years I can remember feeling very bitter toward him. How could a man father a child and not love and take responciblity for him? As I grew older I knew I had to forgive him.
I found Jesus on my own, without anyone leading me to him.
I know God loves me and all things are possible. I know the power of Faith. So many of the songs you folks sang in Henderson and sing on your mission have such solid truths.
In Mississippi without my father knowing I was abel to land a job in the same factory that my father had worked for 45 years. He finally got wind of me working there but in the 10 years that I worked there he never once walked into my department when I was working.
He was head of quality control. Bryan Foods. One of the largest pork producers in the south. He had many friends in the factory. They never knew he had two sons and a daughter. They only knew his step sons, he second wifes kids. He never spoke of us!

About a year after he retired he learned he had lung cancer. I stepped up and would go to him home everyday. He was very sick for the last three months. I never fialed to sit with him. He looked so lost. He had nothing. We had no memories to share, nothing to talk about. The last night in the hospital my father reached out to me.
He said why did you come when your brother and sister have never come to see me in many years. I said I forgave you many years ago daddy. I said I wanted to show you I was a man and that I wanted to do the right thing. I said I believe in Jesus and I am saved.
He said is it too late for me. I said "It is never too late Daddy". As one single tear trickled down his face he said. "I have been such a fool". I told Mama that I felt that was his way of telling me he was sorry for not being there for me.

I am 53 years old George but there is still a little boy inside me that yearns for a "Daddy".
If any boy needed a dad, it was surly me. When I saw your son standing with you and his mother on stage singing with conviction and seeing the love of his God and his family in his heart it was so powerful for me. That is what I've yearned for all my life.
It is such a great tribute to YOU for your children to have surrounded you and shared with other what you have instilled in them. If only I could blink my eyes and go back in time and be a member of your family. I would be such a proud fellow.

My guitar has always been my best friend. I had mentioned to your wife that I played in a Bluegrass band for many years in Tupelo Mississippi. I have written several gospel songs. And many of the songs we performed were old time gospel bluegrass songs, nothnig fancy, simple messages, but oh how they could make you cry and feel God's truth. I can remember singing lead and high harmonies in my band and then later after the show we'd get down off stage and some one you'd never met would embrace you like they'd known you all their life. Life you were there son. I knew then that music was my way of sharing God's love.
To touch someone's heart with a gospel song is such a powerful gift. I found quickly that I have a responciblity to thoes folks. To sing from my heart. What a tremendous joy it is to make others happy with a song. But , you know that....you've been doing it all your life haven't you.

I have been a very lucky fellow the past 10 years. I've had mentors come into my life and I'm a very humbled and thankful man. I've travled all over the world and have seen and learned so much. Never in a million years would I had ever THUNK that I would have so much given to me. Not material things. Love and goodness.
Knowledge. Gifts from HIM. Knowing that goodness will always follow me, things might not always go my way when I think they should, they go my way when I live in HIM.

I listened to the your CD on the way home. They song(I can't remember the title-the CD is in the car) about I want to be like you because he wants to be like me....speaking of a son's love , really hit home with me. And the last song on that CD with you singing lead just filled me up.

I just wanted to share my heart with you sir. Hope to see you next year in Henderson.

So now, you get busy eating right and taking good care of you. There are folks Like me counting on you to fill ours heart with your beautiful voice.

God has blessed you and your family. I know he will continue!!!!!

Love, Buddy Sizemore

A report from the last time we were at Amazing Grace Christian Church - Grove City OH - with Ron Sams

Church_Ministry: Amazing Grace Christian chruch

Message: I just want to say thank you for the terrific message you delivered at Amazing Grace Christian Church on 9/23/07. Your words were so spirit filled and motivational. It's so refreshing to hear God's truth about what we as Christians are supposed to be doing. I grew up in a large church and not that a church building is not important, but people need to be reminded that we are the church and the building is the building. Your message gave me passion to go out and tell people about Christ. We live in such a dark liberal world and satan is so sneaky and will try to make us think we're being effective Christians by just being a good example to someone, but like you said, "if you're not giving it out, you're taking it in. My husband and I invite people to church, but we are going to begin telling them why we're inviting them and why it's important to us that they attend and know Jesus. God is using you to wake people up and he has blessed your words so they are biblically true and clear. Thank you and God bless your ministry!

Sincerely,
Bethany & Miguel Sosa

PS-What an awesome voice also! AMEN!

First Tenor

A note from Dave Waits. he and I sang together in The Gospel Lads. I thank the Lord for a friend like Dave.
George

David wrote on your Wall:

"Hey there George. It's always nice hearing from you. You'd think our paths would cross more often than they do. To still be singing 1st tenor for well over 50 yrs. as you have is unbelievable! No one could do this unless they use their vocal instrument correctly and you always have. I'm grateful for our friendship that now spans 40 yrs! God bless,
dw"
