Melton Family Trio

Nedra Melton

Nedra began singing in Whittier, California. At the age of 16 she won the Southern California Soprano Solo Contest and made an album at Capitol Records as part of the winnings. She also received a College Scholarship. During the early years of George & Nedra’s marriage, George sang with the quartets and Nedra sang with several Ladies Trios. Often they were on the same platform.

Rhonda Melton McNerney

Rhonda is from Vestaburg, Michigan, and is in love with the Lord. She is a mother of three, Alisa, Anna and Samuel, and the wife of Tom McNerney, who is the minister of the Vestaburg Church of Christ. Rhonda is a singer, inspirational speaker, and Para-pro at the Vestaburg Community Schools. She is the oldest child of George and Nedra Melton. Rhonda has been encouraging others with her voice all of her life, singing with a number of gospel groups, among them, Celebration, GoForth and most recently a women’s trio, Everlasting, singing with good friends Pam Avers and Amy Emmert at the NACC and throughout Michigan and Indiana.

Rhonda is excited about singing with her family and thrilled for this opportunity. She is looking forward to getting to know those the Melton’s have been singing to throughout the years. Her prayer is that she can encourage others to live their lives, everyday, to please our Father, the King.

Kenny is an ordained Music Minister and one of five children in the Melton family, growing up singing. He started full-time in the family ministry in 1990. After CrossWalk Kenny started traveling again with “The Melton Family Singers.” When asked about his personal ministry within The Meltons, Kenny’s reply was. I am thankful to be able to make a living doing what I love: “SINGING”; about the message I love: “THE GOSPEL”; with those I love: “FAMILY.”

Kenny says his goal is to, “WIN THE LOST AND ENCOURAGE THE SAINTS THROUGH MUSIC.”
